Product Description
Introduction to Wangmei Aluminum-Clad Wooden Doors and Windows
Definition and Core Concepts
Aluminum-clad wooden doors and windows are high-performance door and window systems combining solid wood and aluminum alloy profiles through special processes. The inner side uses natural solid wood (such as Korean pine, oak, cherry wood, etc.), while the outer side is wrapped with aluminum alloy profiles, forming a composite structure of "wooden interior and aluminum exterior". This design retains the natural texture and thermal insulation of solid wood, and solves the problems of moisture absorption and fading of solid wood with the weather resistance of aluminum alloy, making it a high-end door and window solution integrating traditional wooden windows with modern materials.
Core Structure and Process Highlights
1. Profile Combination:
- Inner Solid Wood: Insisted on original imported wood with FSC forest certification and PEFC green environmental protection certification. Selected weather-resistant woods such as North American red oak and Russian larch with a golden growth period of 30-50 years, and only 30% of the tree core can be used by Wangmei. The wood is left standing for more than 6 months and subjected to microwave balancing treatment to eliminate stress and prevent cracking and deformation. The moisture content is strictly controlled at 13%±2% to suit wooden window processing and prevent cracking and deformation. The surface is coated with environmental water-based paint for anti-corrosion and anti-moth, and 1,000 custom colors are available.
- Outer Aluminum Alloy: Adopts aluminum alloy profiles with a thickness of 1.5mm. The surface is treated with fluorocarbon spraying or powder spraying, which is resistant to ultraviolet rays, acid rain, and has lasting color.
- Connection Process: Fixed wood and aluminum through heat-insulating nylon connectors or mortise-tenon structures to avoid condensation caused by direct contact between metal and wood. The thermal conductivity coefficient (K value) is better than that of ordinary wooden windows and aluminum alloy windows.
- Processed by imported Italian full-automatic door and window equipment with a processing accuracy of 0.1mm.
2. Glass and Hardware Configuration:
- Glass System: Standard configuration of "5Low-e+12A+5G+12A+5G glass" insulated combination, with a sound insulation of over 38dB.
- Hardware: Adopts imported German multi-lock point hardware system, and the hardware of the sash can bear up to 150KG.
3. Sealing and Waterproof Design:
- Multi-channel Sealing: Equipped with EPDM rubber strips, which are highly elastic and weather-resistant, and can still be used normally at -20℃ to 120℃. The advanced soft-hard composite co-extrusion technology of automotive sealing strips is applied to the door and window field, which greatly improves the sealing performance of doors and windows.
- Waterproof Process: Invisible drainage makes drainage smoother and the appearance more beautiful.
Application Scenarios
- High-end Residential Buildings and Villas:
- French Windows: The inner side is made of red oak, and the outer side is made of fluorocarbon sprayed aluminum alloy, with three-layer insulated glass, taking into account the interior of North American rural style and the exterior of modern buildings.
- Sunrooms: Aluminum-clad wooden skylights are matched with electric sunshade systems. The solid wood interior creates a warm atmosphere, and the aluminum alloy exterior resists ultraviolet aging.
Aluminum-clad wooden doors and windows focus on the integration of "natural aesthetics and technological functions", combining the warm texture of solid wood with the durability of aluminum alloy. They not only meet the decorative pursuit of high-end buildings but also improve energy-saving and safety performance through systematic design, making them an ideal choice for doors and windows that combine traditional charm and modern technology.
Aluminum-Clad Wood Windows – The Perfect Blend of Beauty & Durability
Aluminum vs. Wood Windows
Choosing between aluminum and wood windows depends on your priorities—durability, aesthetics, or maintenance. Aluminum windows are lightweight, strong, and resistant to weathering, making them ideal for modern homes and high-rise buildings. Their slim frames maximize glass area, enhancing natural light and views. On the other hand, wood windows bring timeless warmth and charm, perfect for traditional or rustic interiors. While they require more upkeep to prevent rot and warping, they offer superior insulation and can be repainted for a refreshed look. Aluminum is low-maintenance and energy-efficient with thermal breaks, whereas wood provides a classic, cozy appeal. Your choice should balance design preferences, climate conditions, and long-term care requirements.
